these monthly gatherings, aimed for intermediate and advanced vocalists and musicians keen to explore collaborative spontaneous music-making, creativity, sound and silence, have been running regularly for more than 2 years now.
There is a wonderful core group of regular singers and a very welcoming space for all newcomers. Companionship and mutual encouragement, developing and deepening musicianship, creativity and vocal ensemble skills, free wild singing…

for the first quarter of 2018, I’d like to curate a series of sessions with guest teachers. I feel this will broaden the community, our perspective, everybody’s skills.I have invited a couple of wonderful colleagues (hopefully there will more to come for the next trimester with other wonderful teachers):
on Saturday January 20, Sandrina Sedona (http://www.school-of-singers.de/) will bring along her vast experience with performing vocal improvisation in small ensembles and in-the-moment lyric-making. Cost £50 full day, £30 morning session
on Saturday February 10, I ll lead a CIRCU-LAB morning session . Cost £30
on Sunday February 18, full day, Albert Hera (http://www.alberthera.com/) will share his skills and offer a day workshop designed for facilitators, experienced and prospective vocal leaders, teaching through Circlesongs a series of conducting signals that he has developed for instant composition and arranging, and the choice of invented language and syllables as a vocal technique (warm up-blend) device for choirs. on Saturday April 7, Stefano Baroni (http://www.stefanobaroni.org/en/) will share his unique approach to teaching rhythm and developing musicianship and coordination spanning body music, Carl Orff pedagogy and circle singing. Cost £50 full day, £30 morning session.
You can attend the sessions of your choice. Places are limited. Advance booking recommended to secure a place. If you book and pay in advance for 4 or more sessions, there is a discount of £5 per session booked.
